James Hall is a small business owner and a qualified team coach. His career began in industry after which he spent 29 years of service with the British Army. He is primarily a strategic thinker and a planner.
As a commercial leader James has been involved in a number of small businesses. These have included: the provision of procurement planning services for the Qatari Government; consultancy and coaching services to British companies; the development of new digital services in the world of chemical and nuclear detection systems. Most recently, with his business partner Diane Brown, he has helped turn-around a small business selling windows and doors in Oxfordshire.
Having commanded his Battalion, James spent several years teaching Strategy and International Relations at the United States Army Command and Staff College in association with the Kansas University Master’s Degree programme. He was part of the British Army Commitments team responsible for all operational deployments at the height of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Latterly, he was a senior diplomat as the British Defence Advisor to the British High Commissioner in Nigeria.
As a founding member of the Business Phoenix team James is determined to bring professional skills to support the huge numbers of companies struggling to survive the current economic conditions. The loss of so many businesses to the British economy is a human tragedy as well as an economic one. The Phoenix Project is his contribution to getting us all back on our feet.
